The Women’s Blues Team

Are they less boring than the men? Probably. Tomorrow brings the 42nd Ladies race. Here are the girls going for a Women’s clean sweep, after the II’s and III’s convincing victories last weekend.

Sophia Saller

Does she even need an introduction? This international triathlete and 2 time Blues Varsity Match champion is competing in her 6th Varsity Match this year. Enough said.

Dani Chattenton

Last year’s steeplechase champion and Varsity Match record holder (not to mention 3rd at Blues Cross Country Varsity and 1500m indoor BUCS medallist), Dani will fly across the water jump at Wimbledon Common this year and won’t look back.

Flo Scrafton

Bringing a 16:45 5k PR with her from Birmingham, Flo has added her talents to the Oxford Blues team this year. She also shares a name with everyone’s favorite running website. Coincidence? We think not.

Kim Horner

Filling the required postgrad-from-across-the-pond Blues spot, this long distance specialist will take the endurance training from her 1:18 Oxford Half win to Wimbledon Common.

Charlotte Dannatt

Charlotte has continued to show she has strength and speed after her 2nd place finish at Cuppers and will be looking for victory over Cambridge in her first Varsity Match.

Connie Hurton

This fresher fell runner from the North already has an England vest to her name – will she also beat her older brother to a Blue in her first Varsity Match?

Hannah Plaschkes

Another triathlete turned cross country runner, Hannah has proved she’s equally at home without her bike and wetsuit and will be fighting to defend the Oxford Blues title from last year.
